Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Naija Campus ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Who Can Use Naija Campus
Naija Campus is built for students connected to Nigerian tertiary institutions — undergraduates, postgraduates, research students, and prospective students ("Aspirants"). You must provide accurate information about yourself and your academic status when creating an account.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, including if you sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Naija Campus to:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your academic status or institution
- Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against other students
- Post spam, scams, or misleading opportunities
- Upload malicious files or attempt to disrupt the Platform, including Secvora AI
- Scrape, copy, or resell content or data from the Platform without permission
- Violate any applicable Nigerian or international law
5. Communities, Posts & Moderation
Communities, posts, and messages on Naija Campus are created by students, not by us. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice. Moderators may remove posts within their communities according to community-specific guidelines.
6. Secvora AI
Secvora AI is an in-app assistant that can process text and files you provide (for example, to summarize, explain, or convert documents). Files and messages you send to Secvora may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate a response — see our Privacy Policy for details. Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal information you are not comfortable processing this way, or content you do not have the right to share.
7. Content You Post
You retain ownership of content you post on Naija Campus (posts, messages, uploaded files). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Platform as needed to operate the service. You are solely responsible for content you post and for having the right to post it.
8. Third-Party Links & Services
Naija Campus may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, Google/GitHub sign-in, or — where available — external internship or opportunity listings). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites. Following an external link means you are subject to that site's own terms.
9. Disclaimers
Naija Campus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure at all times. Information shared by students or aggregated from external sources (including opportunities, events, and academic information) is not independently verified by us unless stated otherwise, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for important decisions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Naija Campus and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including reliance on content posted by other users or third parties.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform grows. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Naija Campus after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
